Addicks & Kreye in Bremerhaven is advancing the digitalisation of its depot operations by implementing the operateMybox depot module in combination with the CONROO app. The project is part of the broader smartport initiative in the ports of Bremen and is scheduled to go live by spring 2026.
The operateMybox depot module digitalises core container-related workflows and enables standardized data exchange with customers, partners, and service providers. By integrating CONROO, gate processes are also digitised, creating a seamless flow between truck arrivals, depot operations, and backend systems.
Using the CONROO app, truck drivers can handle deliveries and pickups via their smartphones, with less paperwork and fewer manual interactions at the gate. Data exchange between drivers, freight forwarders, and depot operators is automated, helping to reduce waiting times and congestion at the depot entrance.
“Since we already had a good working relationship with operateMybox, combining the two solutions was a logical step,” says Jonas Lackmann of CONROO. “The integration allows us to exchange container data seamlessly. In general, CONROO simplifies gate processes — drivers no longer have to stop and deal with paperwork, which brings clear benefits for daily operations.”
The solution requires minimal changes to existing IT infrastructure, as operateMybox is cloud-based and integrates with finance and ERP systems via standard interfaces. At Addicks & Kreye, the system will initially be introduced in a test environment, alongside structured master data preparation, to ensure a smooth technical and operational rollout.
